Dominion Senior Living of Bristol, an assisted living and memory care community, hosted a baby shower in celebration of their new nursery addition at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at 425 Shelby Lane, Bristol, TN 37620.
The purpose of the nursery is to create a space for memory care residents to care for their “babies” (dolls used for therapeutic activities) reigniting the residents’ passions and creating meaningful engagement.
“We are elated to be able to share some new additions that we are introducing to our residents,” says Melissa Crosby, the Community Relations Director.
“We believe introducing this nursery will recreate familiar situations from their past and give them purpose and a sense of belonging. In the next few months, we will be introducing more “life stations” so that residents will have areas within Dominion to create meaningful engagement.”
