DOMINION SENIOR LIVING PROMOTES ABBI COX TO DIRECTOR OF QUALITY COMPLIANCE
Cleveland, Tenn. (March 2025) — Legacy Senior Living is proud to announce the promotion of Abbi Cox to Director of Quality Compliance for Legacy and Dominion Senior Living’s 35 communities. Cox has been a part of the Legacy team since 2021, when she began her career in senior living as a nurse at Legacy Village of Cleveland.
After having first-hand experience in helping care for her grandmother who battled dementia, Cox decided to pursue a degree in Nursing from Lee University. Upon graduating in 2019 with her RN-BSN, Cox worked the nightshift in the Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak. It was during this time that she felt a confirmation in her calling towards geriatric care. Cox began taking nursing shifts at Legacy Village of Cleveland in January 2021 until she was promoted to Staffing Development Coordinator in July of the same year. She quickly progressed to Assistant Resident Services Director and then ultimately Resident Services Director, where she has served for the past three years.
As the Director of Quality and Compliance, Cox will work with each community to review quality assurance standards, implement performance improvement initiatives, as well as support the communities in state survey readiness. She will play a crucial role in maintaining the standards of quality care and services across the Legacy and Dominion communities.
“Serving our seniors is undeniably one of the most fulfilling and rewarding vocations. Caring for those who have shaped our world through their service and steadfast contributions while learning from their rich life experiences and stories, has been deeply transformative. It is an honor to continue supporting our communities by evaluating systems, refining processes and implementing procedures to support the culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Through these efforts, I am committed to supporting Legacy’s mission of delivering the highest quality of resident-centered care,” Cox says.
“It brings us great joy to see Abbi advance to the position of Director of Quality Compliance. She has always had a unique determination to provide the best care possible because she sees each resident as family. We know that Abbi will be an asset to each of our communities,” says Doug Veazey, COO of Legacy and Dominion Senior Living.
Cox lives in Cleveland with her husband, Tanner, and Chocolate Lab, Charlie. She loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephew. She also enjoys traveling, being outdoors, cooking and baking.
