DOMINION SENIOR LIVING OF LOUISVILLE CELEBRATES RESIDENT, FAITH AEILTS, FOR GRADUATING FROM 'EMPOWER ME WELLNESS THERAPY PROGRAM’
Louisville, KY (March 2024) — Dominion Senior Living of Louisville celebrates Faith Aeilts for graduating her therapy journey after experiencing a debilitating stroke in the spring of 2023.
When discussing the events surrounding her stroke almost a year ago, Ms. Aeilts claims she has very little recollection of what happened, but what became abundantly clear to her and her family was that she needed extra help if she were to continue living independently. Upon hearing of the Empower Me Wellness therapy program at Dominion Senior Living, she discovered this could be just what she needed.
Empower Me Wellness Therapy provides customized on-site physical, occupational and speech therapy at Dominion Senior Living. Ms. Aeilts started her journey on the path towards recovery when she moved into the assisted living wing.
After months of hard work, determination and therapy, Ms. Aeilts has regained her mobility and speech and is returning to her home.
Faith wants to share her story to motivate others in similar circumstances that there is quality help for them and that it is possible to succeed. She claims that she had “awesome support from all of the departments within Dominion — the team at Empower Me Wellness especially, but also Maintenance, Housekeeping, Dining and Nursing.” She feels that she is only able to return home because of their support.
“We are so proud of Ms. Aeilts and the hard work she put in to eventually return to her baseline. We were continuously impressed with her perseverance, faith and determination. She is an amazing example of how our programs, care and services are beneficial to those needing some additional assistance. We will miss Ms. Aeilts but are so excited she is able to return home,” said Doug Veazey, chief operating officer of Dominion Senior Living of Louisville.
